He was available on short notice; used a time+materials method rather than a fixed job bid; was reasonably affordable and concerned about my final cost so was expedient about both time and materials; paced himself diligently about his work, worked 8 hrsX2 days with just 1/2 hr lunch. This I liked. A couple of other comments: Did not have a preprinted contract form with company letterhead; did not have bonding/ insurance info readily available( that should be automatic for a trades contract, imo); what I thought I needed and asked for in my non-pro view differed from his solution so my questions and concerns mid-job seemed to annoy (could be me looking over his shoulder). Overall, Paul’s work fixed my deck, my house and my door project for reasonable cost. It may not be the prettiest solution but effective and works for me so I won’t complain. Good job. My impression of Paul was that he is a salt of the earth tradesman with confident skills using hand held power tools and getting a job done. I would suggest to anyone hiring that they talk to Paul if they want their job done smoothly.

What a mistake. That was one of the worst experiences of my life. I was hesitant to leave a negative review because of potential risk of retaliation from this bad man.
Paul Weiger Construction Remodeling Service's reply
what exactly are you talking about ,bad man ,what a statement y would i retaliate? As a customer its ur money ur responsiblity to call the person u hire and complain first and if the issue wasnt takin care of then by all means complain. As i deal with many customers on day to day basis,i dont remember u as a customer. I STAND BY MY WORK ETHICS and ,as far as i can remember ,you claim i did work for you back in SEPTEMBER however I looked back on my work orders and your name isnt on anything i have as i save them. ,At the time u claimed I worked for u i was doing another job i P.A so i know i didnt have u as a customer in september despite ur aka in delaying writting a review as i was working other jobs 3 mths prior. so again as said i aim to please so please man up as customers r supposed to be always right. U also claim retaliation thats jacked up dude u do not know me i i work for customers as this is my life and buddy ur dead wrong in saying ur fearful about retaliation as im a peaceful man and this is further proof ive never met u or done work for u. So feel feel to call me as im willing to do whats right.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

No, it's pretty straight forward all small jobs are by the hour, I'm talking a day or two all others can ether be by the hour or by the bid.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

Kids stay in school ! Just like Willie Nelson said Momas don't let your babies grow up to be carpenters, its a hard life, it's fun it keeps you in shape but there are lots of other ways to make a living .
