Question and answer
Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. Most of our projects are industrials (corporate videos), but we also produce documentaries and creative films as time allows. Our corporate work includes promotional, testimonial, training, and special event videos. Most of these videos are distributed through corporate websites.
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Make sure your project scales to the level of professionalism of your provider. For example, don't reach out to a professional media company for your kid's backyard birthday party. There are plenty of freelancers and production teams available at all levels. Choose one with credentials that most closely match your needs and budget.
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. You should have thought through the vision for your video and have a good sense of your budget. It does no good to start with a half-baked idea, or to try and recreate "Gone with the Wind" on a $500 budget. A good production company can work with you in developing your vision, but they need a sense of the budget when doing so.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. We are passionate about producing video, and it shows in our work. Rather than simply cranking out a "cookie cutter" video, we work with our clients in producing a video that embraces their vision.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. Working with our clients through the creative process and seeing their delight in the results.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. How much does a video cost? Cost is largely dependent on the scope of the video. For example, will we be driving cars through windows, or are we simply producing a "talking head" video? We work hard to maximize "bang for the buck", looking for ways to trim costs while still producing a high quality video.
Q. If you have a complicated pricing system for your service, please give all the details here.
A. A professional video production has three phases: pre-production; production; and post-production. Each has many facets, each with a specific pricing structure. There are numerous factors that go into pricing a video such as the complexity of the project (e.g., is this a "talking head" video or will we be crashing cars through windows?), the length of the video, set design requirements, travel needs, number of shoot days, number of actors and crew members, complexity of post-production, cost of music, animations, etc. It is only through a detailed review of your project that we can accurately estimate the cost.
