Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Many Studio Engineers are not musicians, I am. By understanding music, I can better assist you on your projects, whether that means arranging vocals, or writing parts, as well as giving you professional feedback. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Music and Vocal performance, and I am a professional vocal coach as well. I am one of the few Engineers from the DMV that can record vocals in stereo, and have the ability to re-amp signals for a fatter and fuller sound. I love the interaction with other people who are passionate about the same things I am. I love music. For me, this job is all about the music, and if you don't have a love for that, then you're in the wrong field.

I am currently co-producing an album with Luis for Harold Winley and The Clovers. I must say that Luis' performance as an engineer and producer is top notch. Luis is very easy to work with. He also has great ideas and his results and performance are above-average. It is a pleasure to be working with Luis on this project.

I have had the joy and pleasure to work with Mr. Catarinau on audio productions ranging from single tracks all the way to multi song projects. They included studio CD production work, music programming using electronic devices, and real live shows, with PA systems, etc. The quality of the products has consistently been great. I can highly recommend L.A.C. Music Group for your audio productions.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I've always loved music. It has been a passion of mine ever since I can remember. I was first introduced to Recording by a band mate of mine when I was 15 and I loved it.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Recording and Producing: Basically I work with the clients until they are satisfied with their project. Recording: I record the project from start to finish using high class equipment and grade A microphones for the best quality sound. Once the recording is finished, I begin the mixing process. Mixing is where I add EQ and compression for clarity of each of the tracks. Mixing is all about balance. Producing: I assist clients with vocals, which includes, backgrounds, harmonies, and leads. I help with the arrangement of the songs and even the instrumentation.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Never search based on price. The cheapest, is almost never the best. If you go cheap, you're going to get cheap results. When you search, be certain that the company or person can provide what you have to offer, and is the best fit for you.
