Multitasking, brainstorming, passionately creative and unflinchingly committed. I'm the glue that will make the other pieces fit. I’m a collaborator, an adaptor, a person who must constantly evolve.

My parents are both self-taught, self-sufficient artists, and I have been painting since I was old enough to hold a brush. My four years earning a BFA at SCAD (2002) were life changing in that I learned how to channel my creative energy, and focus on communicating a specific message. The art direction at SCAD was from some of the best in the industry, like Dick Krepel, Alexi Natchev, and CF Payne.

I currently support the design, development, and maintenance of a 400,000+ user per day government website, and would consider taking some smaller projects in design, development, or illustration.

Question and answer

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Being immersed in generations X and Y, and experiencing the amazingly creative and collaborative environment at SCAD puts me a step ahead creatively. I can work in print, digital, and on a conceptual level very effectively, while maintaining a strong focus on the needs of my client.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Arriving at a unique and interesting solution to a design problem, having collaborated and worked hard to make it happen. Having a client give me a genuine complement on a job well done is what makes it all worth while.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. How did you get into web programming with a design degree?

I started in the print industry as a desktop publishing specialist, taught myself XML, HTML, CSS, XSLT, and later PERL, JAVA, and Javascript.
