A. Look for someone that's not afraid to get under the car without a lift. Your mechanic doesn't need to be certified, but try to find one that's knowledgeable and will find you quote for your parts needed for the job. Make your mechanic tell you something you don't know about your own car before you think about hiring them.
A. More about transmissions, that's one part that I don't have much experience on. I've installed new trans units, installed new clutches and replaced servos, but I haven"t completed a over haul on an automatic transmission yet!..Yet!
A. Can your prospective mechanic do computer diagnostic testing,(obdll)?
When you ask your prospective mechanic a question about your problem, does he/she tell you " I don't know, why don't you bring it in" maybe that's not the mechanic for you. You need your mechanic to tell you a little something about your problem, or a little something on how to fix your problem. If your mechanic doesn't care enough to tell you something about your problem, don't expect him/her to care enough to make sure the job is completed correctly.
Also, does he/she know anything about your make of car? Some makes require special training to work them. If they don't have the training for your special make(BMW,Benz,Saab,VW), then don't hire them.
A. Whats wrong with your auto?
What parts might I need?
How far am I from my mechanic?
I travel and do most of my repairs in the comfort of your driveway. If I'm to far away from you I may be able to refer to mechanics in your area that offer the same service.
A. There are not many mechanics out there that do traveling auto maintenance, I base my work on where it the easiest for my customers, in your own driveway. I also do chain saw, tractor, mower, hand equipment, and farm equipment maintenance and repair. Other jobs I do include but not limited to; electrical installs, plumbing installs, handy man services, drywall and painting.
A. Working on something different all the time, being able to bring the customer the best price, and job. Being able to see a different work environment all the time instead of a shop wall all day.
A. I love working on cars, trucks bikes, tractors, anything with a motor, that has a wheel. I worked on landscape equipment as my first job and working on cars was my hobby. Landscaping is seasonal and I am looking to keep busy year round.
So I am starting a business bringing awesome prices, with come to you service.
