Piano & Voice Instructor

I have been called, The Mary Poppins of piano/voice instructors. We are very good with children and teens and the different teaching styles that are required for both. I also teach adults wanting to learn a new skill.

I am Certified in Music Education from Indiana University, Bloomington, IN. I have taught in the public schools, k-12 piano/voice/chorus/show choir/special needs music.

Currently, I am teaching private piano and voice lessons from my home in Hanover, MD. Being 1 mile away from Arundel Mills Mall makes the location convenient to drop off children and shop or run errands.

Lessons are 30 min., to 1 hour, once a week with 2 recitals scheduled per year.

  I want to give my highest recommendation to Sabrina Sigmon. She is the Mary Poppin's of music teachers! I had been looking for some time for a piano teacher for my son, but wanted to ensure it was the right fit, as a negative first time experience can really sour a child. Sabrina was truly an answer to my prayers. She brings the perfect balance to music education. She makes it fun, but is also demanding in her requirements, while all the while being the supportive cheerleader. My son loved her and learned a lot. Unfortunately, a move out of the region brought an end to this perfect arrangement! To date, I have found no one who can replace this talented and caring teacher. She is a treasure!

  Sabrina is the best piano teacher our daughter has ever had. Her enthusiasm and delightful personality inspires our daughter to practice regularly. Sabrina is never short on praising her for a job well done. After a piece has been played, Sabrina's style corrective style never gives our daughter a negative feeling. We are sad to be leaving the area. We highly recommend Sabrina. You will not find a finer teacher and friend.

  Sabrina is wonderful with my kids. She is excellent at getting the kids excited about piano. Sabrina is one of the most patient teachers that I know. She is able to adapt her teaching approach to accommodate the child's learning ability. I highly recommend her for anyone! She can work her magic with just anyone!

  We first met Sabrina at our son's new school, about 4 years ago. We were new to the area and she was so pleasant and approachable. Our son had never played piano before and Sabrina made it fun for him and was so encouraging! He really progressed. She is always ready with compliments and gentle suggestions. The lessons in her home were always comfortable, never stuffy or forced. We are moving soon and will be hard-pressed to find someone as thoughtful and talented as Sabrina!
