We moved into a house with a boiler heating system that we are unfamiliar with. Nero came out the same day and got it ready for the winter and explained how it works. He also took a look at our a/c system which is also not typical for the area and I'll have him back in the spring to get that ready for the summer. It was great to get it taken care of so quickly.

Nero and them went above and beyond with replacing our 21+ year old AC unit that had blown out. They came and inspected it and immediately knew what to do and what would be best for us based on their inspection of our property. We actually had some other folks come and try to offer the same thing but for 2000$ more than what Nero was charging. We went with Nero for the job and due to the customer service, the punctuality and the finesse we have an actual working AC unit as well as a brand new furnace for our home and we not suffering the sweltering heat inside for the first time in 3 weeks. Couldn’t have asked for better service.

Our upstairs AC unit quit working, and they came quickly. It took a little time for them to assess the situation, but it was a little complicated. They provided several solutions, including an expensive one that replaced the ultra-expensive Carrier thermostat, and a much less expensive solution that replaced that thermostat with a much less costly one, but one that works just as well for home heating and cooling, and has a better overall user interface. (As far as I can tell, the only thing missing from the Ecobee we had installed is that it may be a little more difficult for future HVAC maintenance to assess an issue, but even that is easily handled by opening up the air handler unit. Considering that every issue that we've had with the Carrier unit has resulted in a non-working thermostat, whether or not the thermostat needs to be replaced or not, I'm not even sure how good the Carrier thermostat is for assessing issues either. It seems Carrier communicating thermostats are just very expensive garbage.) All the pros that came to the house were fantastic. I will definitely go back to Nero in the future, including for routing maintenance.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My prices are based on knowing the prices of the large companies and exactly how to save my customers time and money. I usually charge $59 for a diagnostic fee that is then credited towards the repair should you choose to go ahead with it. Since repairs vary in difficulty, time and solution it is hard to give a standard price for repair.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically I start with a diagnostic fee and let all customers know I will diagnose and quote repair before completing repair should they choose to proceed.
