- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do not have a complicated pricing system. I do feel that if you have a large breed dog that isn't a great listener or is difficult to walk your pricing will be different from a small breed dog that is easily walked and does not pull the leash. I've been able to keep large breeds at my side without any trouble even when their owners pre-warned me that they were difficult. This is taken into consideration after the visit with your pet and you will be compensated.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I would like to train to provide pet pampering and massage which my shih tzu ADORES! It is very soothing and calming to most pets. I believe it will soon become common practice. I am also very interested in becoming certified to groom pets.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I had a back injury that took me away from corporate America. My shih tzu helped me get through some of my most trying times. I cannot thank her enough! The love that I have for her encouraged me to lend my services as a dog-walker, sitter, companion and caregiver. She was so good to me and for me that I realized how happy the love of a pet can make you. Even on your worst days... All animals, big & small, deserve a tremendous amount of love as they return it tenfold.
