GuruGal is the resume expert you need!

I just finished a resume project for a Thumbtack client. He said:

"Cover letter and resume look great! I thought you did a great job, glad that I selected you and feel that this will be well worth the money." - Andy E., Columbia, South Carolina

How's that resume working for you? A resume is a marketing piece. If you're not getting the interviews you want, bring in the professionals.

- Affordable prices
- Resume writers who work for the big resume companies
- Professional document design
- Cover letters that get you in the door

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Find out what industries the writer has worked in - before or while doing resumes. Knowledge about your industry is essential to write a powerful resume that will serve as a marketing piece about you to potential employers.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Anyone can call themselves a resume writer/editor. As well, this is one service in which you get what you pay for... a writer that charges $30 to do a resume isn't going to be careful with your information, or take the time to craft wording that truly 'sells' your accomplishments to potential employers.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. - The depth of my experience as a writer (resume, cover letters, biographies, CVs, profiles, etc.)

- My wide range of knowledge about highly varied industries: healthcare, finance, construction, travel, technology, real estate, museums/non-profits, etc.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. So many things! As sappy as it sounds, I like helping people tell the story of their professional lives through a resume. A lot of the people I work with (especially these days) are fragile: they've been laid off or maybe they've been looking for work for months or years...

There are so many stories. One of my favorite client reactions was this:

"Great job! I love the way you worded things, especially, to make them sound so much better than what I had.

It's like the ending scene from the Peanuts Christmas special when the gang takes Charlie Brown's dead Christmas tree and decorates it, so it looks
like it belongs at Rockefeller Center!" - Kelly G.
