- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
There are three steps necessary to protecting yourself from hiring a bad contractor. #1 - Make sure the company is fully licensed and insured. #2 - Obtain and talk to the references from the company. #3 - Get three quotes before deciding on your contractor. Using these steps will help you find a responsible company that you can feel comfortable with. Your comfort is extremely important since these guys will be working in your house and around your family. Don't forget to weigh in the option Angler brings to the table. Our owners, who you will meet with to set up the project, will be the guys onsite each day doing most of the work. Some companies do have great salesmen and display good qualities. It can be a different story when their carpenters show up to start the project. At that point you can be stuck with someone in your house that you just can't seem to trust.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
You get what you pay for. It's not always alright to go with the lowest bid. It's the lowest for a reason. Either they are going to throw it together with the cheapest materials they can get or their payroll is very small since all their help is simple laborers. It takes real carpenters with the knowledge of how the home functions internally and externally to complete a long lasting and well functioning project.
