Angler Carpentry did a fantastic job renovating my bathrooms, building custom closets and replacing and expanding my deck. They are very professional, responsive, helpful, clean and honest. I have recommended them to friends and neighbors and we all continue to use them for renovation projects - both large and small. I highly recommend Angler Carpentry.

angler carpentry did an amazing job remodeling my kitchen, family room, dining room, and closets. They were very reliable, even showing up to work on holidays which was great because they completed all work on time which is generally unheard of with any type of major construction. The quality of their work is impeccable, and all their work is done with their own team of carpenters which makes things more comfortable for the homeowner. I would highly recommend them.

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Interior Remodels. Kitchen, bathroom, basement, and basement with bathroom renovations.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. There are three steps necessary to protecting yourself from hiring a bad contractor.
#1 - Make sure the company is fully licensed and insured.
#2 - Obtain and talk to the references from the company.
#3 - Get three quotes before deciding on your contractor.

Using these steps will help you find a responsible company that you can feel comfortable with. Your comfort is extremely important since these guys will be working in your house and around your family. Don’t forget to weigh in the option Angler brings to the table. Our owners, who you will meet with to set up the project, will be the guys onsite each day doing most of the work. Some companies do have great salesmen and display good qualities. It can be a different story when their carpenters show up to start the project. At that point you can be stuck with someone in your house that you just can’t seem to trust.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. We are firm believers in updating our customers through each step of each project. When remodeling you have to realize projects don't always go as planned. Running into unforeseen issues will happen. Also, when projects start to take shape new ideas arise. This is why we stay in close contact with our customers during the whole project. We are not the type of company that will knock out the contracted work just so we can move on to the next one. We want each project to live up to it's full potential. That's what makes this enjoyable. Also, while we understand the urgency to complete projects but we will not compromise the integrity of our work to get a job done faster. I'm sure this is why we come highly recommended by our customers. We love what we do and it shows from our craftsmanship.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. It's has to be the creativity and challenges. Some projects require just repairs. Even then, there can still be the need for troubleshooting. Each person in our company enjoys overcoming a good challenge. When it comes to remodeling, being able to step back when the project is complete, brings a lot of satisfaction. You know your craftsmanship and some of your ideas are there to stay. I guess it's how an artist feels when they step back and look at their work. They may be very critical of their work but they love it because they created it.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Do you guys do small projects? Our answer is always "yes". We are happy to work on small handyman projects all the way up to building an addition. We have received a lot of repeat business and referrals from our smaller projects.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. You get what you pay for. It's not always alright to go with the lowest bid. It's the lowest for a reason. Either they are going to throw it together with the cheapest materials they can get or their payroll is very small since all their help is simple laborers. It takes real carpenters with the knowledge of how the home functions internally and externally to complete a long lasting and well functioning project.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. If you want to be good at project managing and remodeling, you better have a good amount of patience.
This is not the type of job that you can plan to leave at 4pm each day. Some days require more dedication in order to stay on schedule. If you think you can cut corners to get done faster, you’re wrong! Cutting corners equals crappy craftsmanship which equals your work falling apart which equals a bad reputation which equals no more work for you.
