A. We do a great number of weddings annually, we cover events and take school images as well. We do a large amount of work in our portrait studio taking images of families , children, seniors, maternity and even pet shots.
A. Shop around and find a photographer you are comfortable with, this will make every part of your day better.
A. In our business the job can only be accomplished with the use of modern equipment, although a great Camera is not required to create a great image, a great camera is required to consistently deliver those great images in high resolution. It is imperative that a customer understands the subtle nuance of that statement ,because in truth a great picture can come from a disposable camera, but the professional owes the client the very best the business has to offer in every facet of the job, not just 1 or 2 good images.
A. The time of day the wedding will transpire, locations for the bride and groom preparing for the wedding, The venue both the wedding and reception locations. However, at the time of the contract signing it is not imperative that the client have all this information but the venue is important to know as soon as possible so that we may go to the location prior to the wedding and be able to better prepare.
A. At Treasures of the Shoebox we give special attention to the moment , realizing that above all other things this is what a memory is made of. Images of weddings should consist of the individual moments, the subtle looks and love that can only be captured with this specialized attention to detail. We also believe in capturing the greatest moments of your life without costing you an arm and a leg. Being awarded the Brides Choice award from Wedding Wire, was accomplished by giving our clients the best quality at the most reasonable price.
A. The happiness that a job well done brings. It is the greatest sense of accomplishment when our client falls in love with the images we make.
A. Do we get 2 photographers with every package? Yes
Do you charge for travel? No
What distinguishes your work from others? Quality for price and attention to detail.
where do we service? any area within 160 miles of our office to include New Jersey, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Most of Maryland to include Ocean City, and portions of Delaware, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
A. I could go on and on about our groom who was brought down the aisle in a wheel barrel and dumped at the alter.... maybe some other time.
A. The greatest misconception from the customer perspective is that the photographer makes a lot of money for just being at the wedding for 6 to 10 hours, in truth for every hour spent at the wedding 7 hours is spent in the editing room ensuring that the images are of the highest quality. a 10 hour wedding is usually a good two weeks of work behind the scenes.
A. When My wife and I were married, we could not afford a photographer. Trying to find a qualitative photographer at a decent price was very labor-some, we both loved photography and we saw that there was a definite need for photographers who were affordable and very qualitative.
A. As much as I love weddings I truly love engagement shoots and bridal shoots with the dress after the wedding. The engagements are very personal and gives the couple the opportunity to get to know the photographer and their style of work. The Bridal images can be absolutely breathtaking and are among my favorite images. I love what I do and I take pride in all of the jobs I have undertaken.
A. Always doing the education thing, it is ongoing and will continue I suppose, until I can no longer lift a camera.
A. Probably the greatest advancement in my mind is the creation of the new full sensor Canon 5dMark 2 cameras. There has always been equipment on the market that has made wedding photography better, but none I think as great as this in recent memory.
A. Our pricing system is not a complicated one. We have 4 packages each one with a different offering and package price, we also allow the customer to build their own package sort of giving them the price gun.
A. Before attempting a wedding on your own, shoot as a "second" with another professional photographer leading the way. You will gain invaluable experience and expertise that will allow you to overcome difficult situations that invariably occur with every wedding. While doing this invest in your business, by taking the appropriate classes and purchasing the correct equipment.
A. If you as the photographer were getting married, who would you hire and why?
I would without hesitation select Treasures of the Shoebox Photography, I know emphatically that this photographer cares as much about my wedding as I do.
