- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've always liked tinkering with computers since I became a teenager in the early 90s. I've tried to keep business and pleasure seperate, but I keep finding that the things that would be "work" tend to be boring and lackluster, whereas fixing computers is never in the least bit monotone or blah.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
There are many reputable online help sites that may offer you remote assistance over the phone or may have you sign up for an annual contract that you may not need. Try to research this company the best you can before you hand over your computer information or even personal financials before you utilize their services. Many times these online fixes can become more of a hassle than a help.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
For any new customers, I'd just like you to know that there is no stupid question or comment you can make about computers. I'd rather have you ask me about a curious file or symptom then have you try to fix it yourself and lose precious data if you don't succeed.
