Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. My customers should call me explaining what they need. There is usually not much we cannot do at Magdalen's Pure Skin Care except we do not do hair and nails at this time.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. if I were a customer, I would want to know that my Esthetician is well trained, keeps up with the industry, pays attention to my needs when at the spa, and of course pampers me!

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Not only are all our therapists Licensed , we get alot of continuing education in product knowledge and technology to keep with the latest trends.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I enjoy seeing my clients realize the benefits of seeing a skincare professional after a few weeks of coming to Magdalen's Pure Skin Care.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. How do I get flawless skin like yours Magdalen? My answer is to use proper skincare products and see me once a month to ensure flawless skin!

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. I wish my customers knew that Magdalen's Pure Skin Care is owned by an Esthetcian, so they can rest assured that they are getting the best services, and that I put my customers needs above all else.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. I have always been interested in skincare. As I was growing up in Kenya, I used to make my own masques from fruits. When I came to America I would be in a Department store or Drugstore and find myself giving advice to other people who thought I worked for the stores and were seeking advice. I would read the ingredients for a long time finally getting the cosmetic bible. After years of doing other jobs including owning an import export business my true calling came in 2004 when I went to Yvonne Devilar, a skin care school and finally got my Esthetician License. I went straight from graduating to working for a Day Spa in Arlington Va untill 2007. In 2008 Magdalen's Pure Skin Care was born in a small room in a doctors office. In 2010, I was able to move to our present location to provide more space for my clients.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. For continuing education, we take courses at the International Dermal Institute for Skin Care, and attend trade shows. For waxing, we attend the Grace and Albert Waxing Academy to offer the best techniques for our clients in the latest in waxing for eyebrows, brazilians and more!
