Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Most often we go to our Customer's homes to provide My Basic or Premium Carpet Cleaning Service.

More and more I have been aske to perform Green Cleaning Services which I am Glad to say are proving to come out betteer and better with the newer formulations of Green Products!

They Finally put the Clean in Green Cleaning and it shows!

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. There are several.
Starting with are you and your technicians certified by the Institute for Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification? Too many “cleaners” fool themselves by purchasing a portable machine and calling themselves professional cleaners. Ill equipped to properly use their equipment or the products that go in them; they come in to your home and put to risk your property and your environment.
Next, ask if they are insured, Make them prove it!
Them ask for References and verify them!
What’s there Guarantee? Is it in Writing?
Will they give you a written price before they come and get started!
Then, judge the feeling that you get from the person who comes put to your home! You have to be comfortable with them and this is your chance to interview them for the job!

Now you can make a decision based on an educated opinion of the cleaner’s ability, professionalism and your own personal judgement.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. WE start by Pre-vacuuming with our Basic Package while others might offer it with their Premum/ Platium Pagakes if at all. Further we power aggitate the carpeting using a specialty machine that uses two counter rotating brushes to loosen soils and supend them in the cleaning solution so that the carpeting is easliy cleaned without use of excessive Chemicals and Water

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. The actual costs of providing Professional Services.
All too often people see the cheap rates offered by those unethical Bait"n"Switch operators; 2 Rooms & a Hall for $19.99, 3 rooms for$49.95, 5 Rooms for $75.00, or the famous Whole House for $129.00.

Come on! What are you really expecting for that?

A True Professional Company is coming to your door with a $65,000.00+ set up. The "franchise" technicians will rush in and out in 45 minutes but a Five Star Contractor is going to spend at least an hour to two hours performing a minimal service and has to cover their costs and earn a profit to stay in business. The cost of getting the technician to the door is $50.00 - $75.00 to start when you consider overhead; bookkeeping, the cost of Insurance, gas, labor, marketing, office equipment & expenses, taxes and other miscellaneous expenses. Finally, add in the labor & materials performing the service and the depreciation of the equipment.

I hate to say it but as small as those 2 Rooms & a Hall’s “SPECIAL” sound, by the time they are done with you, it’s going to cost more than the $175.00 minimum charge that I run!

My rates may seem expensive compare to those Bait”n”Switch Operators, but would you pay an electrician $19.99 to run a line and install a new ceiling fan, it would cost $275.00-300.00 or a Plumber $19.99 to replace a toilet, it would cost from $160.00-$175.00. Then you shouldn’t be too surprised to pay $400.00-600.00 to clean a modest sized house or $800-$1,000.00 for McMansion.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. Over the years, I have taken countless classes and attentended multiple seminars. I strike out to keep myself educated on the newest products and methodologies as they apply to my trade. As a result, I have achieved the status of I.I.C.R.C. Master Cleaning Technician and Master Water & Fire Restoration Technician.
