Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Consult with a few stylist to determine which is the best fit for you. It's important that you and your personal stylist get along since you will be spending a significant amount of time together. Before searching for a personal stylist, try to determine why you think you need a stylist. That will help with your consultation.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I love helping women develop their individual style and helping them look their best. It's rewarding helping someone find the perfect outfit for any occasion and see them light up when they love the way they look!
Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?
A. I styled a friend of mine for her surprise 25th birthday party! I found a fabulous red dress and black blazer for her to wear paired with black accessories and pumps. At her birthday party, everyone complimented her on how great she looked. I knew that night she not only felt loved because so many people came out to celebrate, but she also felt beautiful.
Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. I have worked in retail for a total of about 4 years. The last few years, I thought more and more about starting a career in personal styling because I enjoyed helping customers find the perfect outfit when I was working in retail. A friend suggested I take a stylist training in New York. Once I returned, I knew that a career in styling was what I was meant to do.
