Carlton Cleans provides deck refinishing and power washing services in the following areas of Maryland: Silver Spring, Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Potomac, Kensington, Gaithersburg, Germantown, and Darnestown. We service other areas on a case by case basis, so please call or fill out our online request form.

Services:

- Deck cleaning using environmental-safe sodium precarbonate. - Deck stripping using epa regulated products such as sodium hydroxide.
- Wood brightening with oxalic acid or citrus-based solution.
- Deck staining and sealing.
- Deck design and installation.
- Deck repairs.
- Deck cleaning. Our pressure cleaning service is a three-stage process to remove dirt, algae and UV damage (grey wood). 1. Rip It deck cleaner or sodium precarbonate. 2. Low pressure water rinse. 3. Wood brightener.
- Deck stripping. We provide old deck finish stripping with the same process as cleaning except with a deck stripper designed for the particular old finish we are removing.

  Carlton was great. Our deck had not been washed or given a fresh coat of sealant for over 5 years. His crew was professional, he gave great ideas and recommendations on repairs and finishes. Our deck looks great. The color is natural and we think it's the best one in our row.

  Carlton and his fellow worker, Oscar, just finished cleaning, sanding, and refinishing my deck ALL BY HAND. They did not use spray but applied the coats by hand. It was labor intensive and a bit more expensive but it was worth every penny. They used Armstrong oil -based wood stain on the deck and waited for 2 dry days before applying the stain so that it would be done properly. I highly recommend them and will plan to use them again.

  No nonsense, just prompt responses and honest work. Time will tell, but we've used several deck maintenance "services" before and the results were not satisfactory. With Carlton, we seem to be off to a much better start, at a reasonable price.

  Carlton is a true professional, willing to wait until there is sufficiently decent weather to complete the job, willing to put in the extra effort regarding special requests, and very responsive in terms of answering questions about the time course of events and keeping the client informed as to the service schedule.
