FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first step is our Professional Image Consultation with Closet Audit. This is done at the client's home. After the image consultation and closet audit have taken place, then we do the Personal Shopping package. (This is done typically on another day) There are 3 packages for personal shopping: 1. We shop together - I shop prior to your arrival to have 1-3 dressing rooms filled with items to try on. You try them on and we discuss why an item is perfect or not. Sometimes it might need a quick tailoring job (trust me --- this happens all the time as clothing is made for a certain body style height). 2. Pinterest Board - (I send you a PRIVATE Pinterest Board) You can just "click and shop" with items that I have picked out for you that best fits your style, color, personality, body type, and lifestyle. 3. I do all shopping for you then I come to your home so you can try on all the clothes. This is our Premium Shopping service and is intended for those that hate to shop or don't have any time.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified image and color consultant with training from the Studio for Image Professionals as well as classes from the Fashion Institute of Technology. Combining my technical background with my passion for fashion has allowed me to give my clients a unique and detailed experience. I hold a BS in Engineering & Management and hold a Masters in Mathematics & Education. I ran a multi-million dollar jewelry business prior to starting 5 Seconds Consulting. After talking with thousands of women who wanted me to come to their house to pick out their outfits; show them how to wear accessories in multiple different ways; and show them how to dress for THEIR body, I knew this was the industry for me.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with all different clients ranging from new graduate to professional to executive. It's smart to hire an image consultant as soon as you can. Think of it as an investment in your personal and professional life. On average, women spend $23,000 in their lifetime on clothing/accessories that they will never wear. I see this every day! Those items either don't fit correctly or are the wrong color/style/fabric./pattern,
