In this digital age where hundreds of people are purchasing cameras and then announcing themselves as professionals, I'm a professional photographer who's been active in the craft for more than 25 years. I comprehend lighting and photography, and I have thousands of hours of experience, which date back to making my own prints in darkrooms.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. DO NOT jump for the low-price photographer who is a friend or relative with a nice camera. They can shoot hundreds of pictures and hope for some strong shots, but they will lack the experience to direct your shoot and give you the results you want. A fancy camera does no more to make a qualified photographer than buying a race car makes someone ready to run the Daytona 500.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. My photography training and years of experience show their result. While numerous photographers are jumping into the wedding and portrait business simply by purchasing a nice digital camera, Linscott Photo understands lighting, composition and the value of providing both photojournalism and classic portraiture when shooting weddings. Self-confidence makes me able to direct people quickly and efficiently for formal shots allowing you to get to your reception quickly.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I love meeting new people and getting a feel for their style. I also love seeing their excitement when they view their proofs.

A. Why do you not have more photos and music on your website like most others?
The simple answer is that I prefer a direct and straight-forward approach. You are looking for answers, right? I could easily purchase a photography template like most others but I've found that people want answers more than they want to look at an elaborate gallery.
