Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Make sure you find a DJ that is willing to work with you, especially if your event is a wedding. It's your special day and your opinion matters. And price does not necessarily mean quality. Look for a DJ that has pride in their work and skills, and one who has fun DJing.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. The most difficult part of any event is playing music that satisfies every one. But eventually you learn that satisfying every one isn't possible. You have to feel out the crowd and try to make as many people happy as you can. That's why, as a DJ I always take requests. Because it's not about what I think my guests want to hear, it's about what they DO want to hear.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. First and foremost, ask about price, but don't stop there. Ask about the professional's experiences; how long they have been DJing, what kind of events they have done, etc. And of course, ask how the DJ plans to make sure that all of your needs are met.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Before looking for a DJ, you should know about how long you want your event to be, and where it is. A lot of times those two factors can drastically alter the price. You should also know what kind of event you want to have and what kind of music you are looking for. Many DJs only have a certain type of music that they are good at playing. Make sure you find a DJ that can play to your guests' interests.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I enjoy being a DJ because I like watching people have fun. I enjoy the challenge of finding just the right song to play to keep my guests having a good time. Most events you will even find me out on the floor dancing along or teaching my guests the latest steps.
