I have been teaching and performing for over thirty-five years in the Detroit metro area as a concert pianist, classical entertainer, and instructor of piano and theory.
As a pianist, I have performed at Orchestra Hall, Somerset Mall, The DIA, The Whitney, Meadowbrook Music Festival, The Townsend Hotel, and many others.
As an instructor of piano and theory, I have successfully taught a unique method of piano-playing called "arm-weight technique", which promotes a more natural, physically relaxed, tension-free approach to the keyboard.
Question and answer
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Only that you need to set aside enough time to practice the piano each day and develop the patience to work toward your goal. I guarantee that if you follow my advice and guidance, you will make the kind of progress you desire.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. I can't share the specifics without having a piano to demonstrate on, but I can assure you that your enjoyment of playing the piano will increase dramatically.
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. You need a decent piano to practice on, in a place without a lot of distractions. I can provide assistance to help you find a good piano.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. Very few pianists in the Detroit metro area were as fortunate as myself to have studied with the late Boris Maximovich. He was the most gifted piano instructor I have ever known and imparted the "Arm-Weight Technique" to me during eight years of advanced study.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. The ability to transfer my musical knowledge to students one-on-one, helping them solve problems to improve their piano-playing makes the whole experience of teaching very enjoyable!
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. How did you manage to learn to play the piano in such a relaxed, tension-free style? My answer is by learning a special method that truly frees your hands in order to make music.
