FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly watching tutorials, learning different techniques and trying different products. I feel like this is an industry where you have to be constantly learning to keep up with trends. I am always looking for new classes to take and new techniques to learn.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
At Ulta, I started getting more cashier shifts, than beauty shifts and I found that I really missed doing makeup applications. I missed helping women find that perfect shade of foundation or the best mascara for them. For me, its like putting a puzzle together and making the pieces fit perfectly. So, I decided to buy some products and do it myself.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Try to find a provider with the same style as you. If you look through their portfolio and see that you have similar styles, then you will probably be happy with their work.
