I am a vegan chef who serves clients in Southeast Michigan. I do traditional personal chef service in which I come to clients' homes and prepare delicious vegan foods for them. I am also an in-home caterer who is available for private parties and other meaningful gatherings. My rate begins at $45.00/hr. This does not include expenses (i.e. the cost of ingredients and/or additional charges related to extensive travel).

I also conduct private classes for those who would like to learn more about healthy, vegan cooking.

Gift certificates for my services are also available.

My schedule fills up pretty quickly, so please notify me via e-mail a week to ten days in advance, if you are interested in hiring me.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Communication is key! Speak with the chef you would like to work with and find out what their specialties and weaknesses are. The best working relationships exist when there is a mutual understanding of what services are being offered and requested.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. If I were a customer, I'd like to know what motivated the chef to go into such a specialized field as the vegan chef service. I'd want to know if this decision was motivated by health or morality.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. What kind of cuisine is your specialty? There have been times when a potential client did not peruse my professional profile before contacting me. We'd have a friendly and seemingly auspicious conversation until it was discovered that I don't use animal products in the preparation of foods.
