Greetings to all!

A Little About Us

Jenuine Creations LLC began over 30 years ago. At that time, I was doing design, artwork, and custom teddy bears. As time rolled on, my life became busy with home, husband, and three beautiful daughters, so artwork became a distant, but fond memory. Recently, I have had the wonderful opportunity to "recreate" myself and my art.

Jenuine Creations LLC now includes one of my creative, capable, and ingenious daughters, Nicole. Between the two of us, we do photography, including (but not limited to) infants, children, senior portraits, weddings, events, commercial photography, and landscapes.

We are members of PPA (Professional Photographers of America), hold a CPP (Certified Professional Photographer) title with PPA, members of PPWM (Professional Photographers of West Michigan), and have recently become members of the Ada Business Association.

We would love to have the opportunity to serve you. Contact us, and let's get started.

Most sincerely,

Jen and Nicole

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Weddings and Senior & Family portraits.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. If you are looking for a Professional portrait or wedding photographer, please, please look at their work. Their work should speak for itself. If you are going mainly on a budget or price point, you may risk loosing out on quality work and professional services.

Also, make sure your personalities match. We realize that we may not be for everyone and the same with anyone else, and that is very much alright with us. We want every client we work with to feel comfortable with us and we want to feel the same way about you. We love or clients and look forward to making lasting memories with them in years to come.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Price wise, our wedding collections begin at an affordable $1850.00 for very basic coverage. For family sessions, our sessions begin at $275.00. For seniors, our sessions begin at $225.00. Our ready to hang wall pieces begin around $100.00 and coffee table albums begin at around $250.00.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. We like to think that Jenuine Creations, LLC - Photography stands out in a positive way compared to our competitors in the area, because we are a Mother and Daugher Photography team. Working side by side, we capture portraits and events no matter the size, from the smallest detail to making sure we capture the "big picture" so to speak.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. Capturing moments that otherwise would go unnoticed. Time and time again, our clients tell us after looking through their images, "Wow! I did not realize you were there to capture that!" It is the little moments in-between that really make our job most rewarding.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. Do you provide a DVD/CD with images from a Wedding or Session? Our answer is yes, but it is a limited and shared DVD with the copyright to the images remaining with our studio. Our clients get a print release to have their selected images reproduced through other sources besides our local, professional labs.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. If there would be anything we would like to share with our clients, it is the fact that this is a serious business for us. As many other professional photographers that we know of in the industry would say, this is what we love to do, but please understand it is our career and means of making an income to support our families.

There are many costs involved in running a successful photography studio and business. Things such as equipment, memberships, taxes, shipping, workshops, insurance, post processing, software, computers, etc (just to name a few things) are all part of the costs associated in running a successful photography business.

So we ask you to please take our time and services seriously, and we will do the same for our clients :)

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. Photography was something that Jenuine Creations, LLC pursued over 30 years ago. It was not until 2008 when we really started the business up again "full force." Nicole joined forces with her mother Jennifer to make Jenuine Creations, LLC what it is today.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. Yes! We are regularly attending workshops and educational seminars put on by our local labs and affiliations in which we hold memberships with. We try to participate in at least 6-12 educational experiences for photography or business related topics every year.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. Do a lot of research before you just "jump in" and say "I am going to be a photographer now!" There are a lot of things involved that most individuals do not take into account. Business insurance, liability insurance, taxes, how competitive the industry already is, legal issues, equipment, professional memberships, etc. These are just a few things that we work with on a day to day basis. If you are not willing or do not have the time to commit to research and staying on top of all the things listed above, perhaps you need to re-evaluate your desires to get into this profession.
