- What types of customers have you worked with?
I teach piano using interactive software and manipulatives, which makes learning easy and fun! Many of my students started when they were three years old. I have had great success with adult beginners, as well. Specializing in beginners of all ages, I will tailor each lesson to your individual learning style. I teach in my home, located in Clawson, MI, which is 30 minutes from just about anywhere in the Detroit metropolitan area. Many families choose to do small group lessons, sometimes it's three siblings and sometimes it's a parent and children. There are discounts available for groups of 2 or more, so call a friend and then call me. Learning together makes it extra fun!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
They are many excellent pianists who also teach piano; many are very successful at engaging students. I think it's important to make sure the teacher is the right fit for you. Most teachers have different age levels that they connect with best. I enjoy teaching beginners of all ages, but I specialize in young children. Having worked extensively with very young children, I understand how important it is to pace the lesson to their developmental stage. I also want them to feel good during the learning process. I am kind and very patient and use hands on materials which are appropriate to their age. As a certified music educator I have knowledge and experience with the teaching and LEARNING process.
