Metro Detroit Math Tutoring

A college student or recent graduate will tutor you or your student in your home or at a specified location (library, coffee shop, etc.). We teach the following subjects: * Math: basic high school and college math, algebra 1 and 2, geometry, pre-calc, probability and statistics, and more. * The majority of the sciences. * Nearly any subject that you or your student may need a little extra help with. Prices vary depending on subject and range from zero to $60 per hour. Group rates are available for sessions that include up to 5 students studying the same subject). Private sessions are usually significantly more. Metro Detroit Math Tutoring was started by me, personally, last year as a way for college students to make a little extra income to supplement the high costs of college tuition. (Also, it helps us stay sharp too!) The program is still in its infancy, and we hope to continually expand in the coming years. We feel that by having actual students tutoring other students, the message of proper study habits is more effective and attentiveness during sessions is vastly improved. For some reason, high-school-aged students (and even some college undergrads) are reluctant to take instructions from a teacher type or authority figure. We'll get to work on solving that problem in our spare time.
