Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. 1.Always ask a potential inspector about their certifications, and from whom they received them.
2. Ask them about how many hours of training they have, and is it on going.
3. Ask them how long they have been in business, and how many home have they inspected.
4. Ask them what makes them different from any other home inspector in the area.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. Journey provides services above and beyond other home inspection companies. We take the time to discuss and educate our customers about the home they are buying. We want them to not only feel safe in their new he, we want them to feel comfortable with their decision to buy. We provide a residential home warranty, and a RecallChek report.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I enjoy the opportunity to talk to home buyers and to be able to give them the opportunity to learn about as much as they can about the home they are buying.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. What are your charges for your services. I give them a deailed explaination of what they will be paying and what they will receive in return.
I am also asked about how long I have been doing home inspections. I let them know that I have a degree in engineering, and have received over 100 hours of originial and ongoing training over the last three years.

Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?

A. Every good home inspector will have a moisture meter, a gas detector, a CO detector, a water pressure testor, and a infra-red thermometer. A really great Inspector will have an infra red camera to look inside walls for heat loss and moisture damage. Infra-red cameras are the lasted new tool inspectors want to get.
