A. Customers usually ask."What kind of music do you play?" I can honestly answer "EVERYTHING" .I play pop, rock, blues ,jazz, country, punk, disco, techno , swing, fusion and even older "hard rock". The only WESTERN music I don't play is the newer Black Metal, or Dark Metal......but I can try !
A. Automation is perhaps the scariest thing for drummers. Drummers have been put out of work with drum machines since the 1980's. I see my role as a "drummer" changing dramatically over the next few years. Drummers are now playing electronic drums and DJs are triggering even whole drum and bass "grooves". For a drummer to keep busy, he/she must also learn some of these other "drumming" techniques to take back some work from the DJ. Keen timing will allow you to trigger precisely "on time".
