- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am not going to lie, i am not a "technically" trained chef. However, I have learned many aspects of cooking from lessons from my late father, mother and grandparents. I keep myself updated on ideas and recipes by buying alot of cookbooks and party planning books. I attend enrichment classes and simply i cook alot! I cannot say that i am very familiar with biology of cooking and i dont believe that is even our style of cooking. We focus on simple meals that can be turned up to elegant and be made in your own kitchen. So many times chefs use these terms that are so fancy that the average person wont believe that are already doing that in their won kitchen. Food and cooking should no be complicated. It should be fun and easy and most of all flavorful!!!
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most types of jobs we do have been specific events such as a birthday party, a promotion party, baby shower, graduation and a few weddings. In planning those events we also provided Party Planning services; we orchestrate how the venue will be set up, we find additional vendors and provide the decorations and color scheme. We do not have enough staff to provide plating service for a party that is greater than 100 people, however we have staff to accommodate servers for buffet parties and bartender services. We also provide private chef services and weekly/monthly meal delivery for those that are on a specific diet plan. We have developed meal plans for those that are on weight watchers, counting calories, paleo, atkins and many other diet plans.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
