I called Advanced Mobile DJs in search of a DJ for an 8th grade dance. I got a call back within an hour and an excellent price around $100 cheaper than the other DJs that I'd talked to! DJ Jay was very personable and easy to contact with questions. He even hooked us up with a bubble machine per our request! :) He came to set up (a bit later than we originally expected him) when we were decorating the morning of the dance and did a complete sound/light check. The lights were the best I've seen out of all the dances/proms that I've been to and were a big hit! He did a great job of taking and managing song requests in order to keep the content of the music being played to a PG-13 level. He was also great at knowing when it was time to play a group dance song like the Cha Cha slide to get the wanderers involved on the dance floor. Long story short: I approve! :)

Question and answer

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Most of the events we play are weddings,,followed by private partys. We do work for schools and other community events. (We will even do some community events for free ,please contact us for info on your event)

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Shop around , make sure you get to talk to the DJ that will be doing your event before you agree to anything. Find out how long that they have been working, not just how long the company has been around. Many services hire young "starter" Djs and farm them out for events. Its your event dont let this ruin it for you!

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Try to meet the DJ that will be doing your event, or if not possible at least talk to them on the phone . You will know if that is the DJ for you !
There has to be a "click" feeling or you may be in trouble ! Make sure they understand your event and your guest. If you dont feel that they are right for you, ask for another DJ, Its your money and event you should not have to worry about a bad mix after its too late!
Remember, just because they can play music ...does not make them a DJ ! They have to be able to talk to you and your guest, they need to work with all the vendors and be able to help you have a great event!

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. This is what I do, its not a second job or a hobby. All of my clients have my 100% ..
We try to always make the most out of any event, Its our job its what we do!
