Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Always ask for and review a sample report. Many inspector's reports are terrible and you will generally get what you pay for. You can download my credentials, a Buyer's Checklist and a sample report without obligation at my web site.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. There are dozens of costs hidden in homes that nobody else ever talks about. If I can save you $5000 in repairs (and I usually do), my work more-than pays for itself. Most homes are built wrong and eat your cash daily. I'll explain how to make that stop.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. 1. Get a sample report and make sure it is complete and understandable.
2. Deal with CRI (Certified Real Estate Inspectors) from ASHI or NAHI affiliations.
3. Make sure your expert has real expert credentials.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. 1. When they want to inspect their candidate home.
2. When utilities will be turned on to enable the best inspection.
3. How they can be there because much will be learned.
4. What changes to the home will be planned in the fiuture because a good home inspector can provide excellent guidance.
