Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. I would advise anyone who is interested in investing in real estate- either residential or commercial- to make a list of their personal needs and expectations in preparing for their real estate investment. The second most important is to interview their real estate agent- relatives aren't always the best choice. Make certain that the agent is knowledgeable, professional and has an excellent work ethic.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. As a customer, I would like to know how to choose a good realtor who would take care of my specified needs, as well as go the extra yard to make my real estate purchase a great experience. The secret is to realize that each and every client needs to be treated with respect, with expediency and with professionalism.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Buyers should have a good idea of what their credit scores are and of their financial ability to make a purchase.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. I take the time to personalize my services and spend quality time with my customers to make certain that they understand every option that they may have.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I love the opportunity of meeting and assisting so many different people: first-time home buyers, investors, and people who may want to scale down.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. One of the most common questions which people pose is: "Is this a good time to buy?" I say: "Yes, yes, yes!" Interest rates are at an all-time low, house prices are at an all-time low, and banks are ready to make a deal.

Q. Do you have a favorite story from your work?

A. I have lots of favorite stories.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. My clients know that I am an extreme professional and will take the time to give them the specialized services which they deserve.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. Real estate is a terrific business if you enjoy people and the challenges of a very difficult real estate market.

Q. What are your most common types of jobs?

A. There are no "common" types of jobs if you are an excellent real estate agent, because each deal is specialized and must meet the criteria of each individual client.

Q. Tell us about a recent job you did that you are particularly proud of.

A. Each real estate deal successfully closef is one of which I am proud!

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. Continuing education is a requirement for real estate agents, however, securing specialized professional real estate oriented designations is generally certainly beneficial for every real estate professional.

Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?

A. Latest developments are not necessarily "latest", but due to the challenging economy, agents must be knowledgeable of the short sale process, federal incentive programs and creative financing options.

Q. Describe your most recent project, what it involved, how much it cost, and how long it took.

A. Each project, as I said before, is unique; each has specified costs, which cannot be generalized. The conversion plans of a historic office building into a multi-use housing, hotel and office loft was one of my most challenging and interesting projects: 400,000 square feet @ $100 a square foot.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. Be educated.
