Question and answer
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. When looking to hire a VA, one of the most important things to know is how well you and your new VA will work together. You cannot expect the VA to have your personality and the VA should not expect you to have their personality. But you and your VA's personalities should mesh very well, in order to have good communication and working ethics together.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. If I were my own customer, I would want to know what type of communications the VA uses and prefers. I would also want to know what type of office equipment and software they used.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. A consumer should ask the VA what type of experience they have for each task they are wanting the VA to perform. Where they are located, so you both know what time zone each of you are in.
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. What tasks they want to have a VA perform. What type of VA they would need to be successful. If the Va offers after office hours support, just in case you need it, do they work weekends, what holidays do they take off, also if they are reachable during those times off, if you ever need their assistance or documents to continue getting their own tasks finished.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. I am a very hard working, organized, detailed-oriented individual who will go above and beyond to make sure the job is done correctly.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I love being able to do a variety of different tasks on a daily basis, assisting others, and love meeting new people
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. Most ask me if I require a contract to work with me and if I require a retainer. My answer to them is no, no one ever knows how long they are going to need an assistant for, it can change daily or weekly. I refuse to tie them into a contractor requiring they pay for hours that they might not use.
Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?
A. Biggest thing a person needs to do is to research, see what others are offering, such as, services, their fees, etc. Concentrate on the skills your best at and over time learn new ones that you can add to your business.
