- Provider travels up to 30 miles
My name is Francis Horvath. Along with myself and my staff, we've been providing entertainment and music to hundreds of clients since 1985.
I understand that you have a lot of choices of services that provide entertainment. I can guarantee you that our vast music library, skills, and pro equipment and lighting will make your event a memorable one whatever it might be.
We take an active part in the event to coordinate all aspects of it, from planning to selecting music selections, and we take the time to talk about what you both want and don't want at your function.
You can have any style of program, from simply classy to a program that would be like your favorite nightclub, with lights and all. We can personalize the feel of your event to your desires.
Before I started Nightwatch Productions in 1985, I was a musician for 10 years; thus, I have a great background in live performance and entertainment. I was in bands that performed in fairs, private functions, nightclubs, and with musicians that had records.
For 3 years, I was a nightclub DJ at C.J Barrymore's in Lansing where I was mixing it up on the turntables.
Nightwatch Productions didn't start from some business plan about how to make money, but from the satisfaction of seeing the happiness and joy that I or a member of my staff could bring to people that were at an event where we were providing entertainment.
Just to give you some statistics—since 1985, we have worked at 575 celebrations, parties of every kind, and of which, 480 were wedding receptions.
Let us put our years of experience into making you and your guests enjoy an enjoyable and fun time with your celebration.
A. I would have to say that about 80% of my functions are wedding receptions. The next type would be functions for adults such as retirements, class reunions, company functions and Christmas Parties
A. Ask the prospective D.J. a lot of questions.
How do they approach what they do?
Their experience with the kind of function that you have in mind.
Get to know them personally so that you can establish a rapport with them so that you can easily communicate.
A. All D.J.'s that I know pretty much have the same equipment and most of the time access to the same songs
as any other D.J. The key is to find someone who actually has the skill, talent and personality to use the tools properly. Listening to the client and being responsive to their needs is of the utmost importance. I recommend that when you are looking for a D.J. to not ask as a first question what their pricing is immediately. Whoever you reserve must first understand what you are looking for and they might even direct you to another D.J. that would best fit your situation. Most important is rely on your D.J. to help you make the function a success.
A. I think one common mistake that potential clients make is to ask about cost before any other question about our services. You are not buying a product, auto servieces or a car. I need to know more about your function
What exactly are you looking for ? How much time will you need for the function? The number of guests
Location of the function What kind of budget are you working with ? What kind of style is your function ... low-key.. high energy etc. If you are only basing your decision on rates only, I might not be your best choice. We are neither the cheapest or the highest priced but will give more value for your money.
A. Experience of 26 years in the Music and entertainment field
A. The interaction with guests and the fun and joy that I can bring to people
A. What our services will cost them.
I take all factors into consideration before giving a quote
A. What started as a love of music (I was a musician in many bands) turned in to a new profession for me in 1985.
A. The biggest thing that is happening in the DJ and entertainment field is the use of LED lighting to both enhance the dance floor but also to change the appearance of a hall or room
A. What makes the Wedding package pricing very simply put is the amount of lighting that we bring to the program.
I have found a lot of customers mention to me that lighting is not important enough or they do not want it to overwhelm the style of the function
