Wildflowers Photography specializes in on-location newborn and child photography.

I also photograph families and seniors. Children thrive in their own environment and when they have free range to explore.

The sessions are ran at a smooth and relaxed pace that result in lovely photos of the child you know and love!

Wildflowers Photography won the 2010 Parents Picks award for the Best Photographer in Detroit.

Please take a look around my site, and call or email me with any other questions you may have.

Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Please make sure to visit the galleries on their website, and make sure the style you see on there is what you want. Family portraits are an investment that will last a lifetime. Don't hold out for the cheapest photographer, choose based on talent and style!

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Photographing a session takes more time than just the photographing session itself. Once the session is done, there is uploading images to computers, editing, creating and uploading galleries. This takes several hours to complete. Once an order is placed, each image ordered is looked over again for imperfections before sending to the lab for printing. Once the photos are in, they are packaged up pretty for delivery. All this takes time. Many people do not understand the cost associated to their photos. Time, equipment, supplies, insurance...they all have to be covered for the photographer. Also, becoming a great photographer takes a lot of experience. You cannot pick up a fancy camera and shoot a great photo. You still have to know how to use it, and how to work with light properly to get great shots.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Ask how long they have been in business, and how long they have loved photographing. Becoming a great photographer takes lots of time playing with your equipment and learning how to work with light.
Ask how the session will play out. Knowing what to expect will make you feel more comfortable during the session.
Ask how long you have to order, and how long they will have your images should you want to order later. Many photographers do not have the space to hold several hundred full sessions on their computers. They must delete after time for space. Make sure that is clear so you will not loose your precious memories!

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Pricing. Pricing should be clear and laid out fully. With photography, there should not be any surprises!
