Question and answer
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. Not only is our worksmanship second to none, but we also use only finishes known for their outstanding durability. While the vast majority of flooring contractors are using oil-modified polyurethane in the $10-20/gal. range, we have been specializing in conversion varnishes (the toughest floor finish out there) for over twenty years. The brands we use most often are Glitsa and Synteko, which cost nearly $50/gal.. In addition, I am personally involved with all the work that takes place on your jobsite. I do not send sub contractors into your home. I also have extensive experience in the installation of all types of wood floors in both residential and commercial settings.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. It is very rewarding at the end of every job to have produced a naturally beautiful and durable finished product.
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. How much experience do you have?
Over 20 years specializing in wood floors.
What type of finish do you use?
Glisa and Synteko most often, but I can use the finish of your choice.
How long will the job take?
That depends on the size of the project. For instance a 1000 sq. ft. job should take 3-4 days for the machining and staining and 2 days for finishing.
How much dust should I expect? Only about 5% of the dust I make will become airborn and travel. We usually seal off our work areas with plastic just to be safe.
