Introduction: I am a highly-trained and very experienced actor and know how to interpret copy and give many choices to directors or producers. I have been working as a voice over talent since the early 1990's, I was doing this work many years before the internet existed, travelling to professional recording studios in Southern California and gaining valuable experience of how to be a professional voice actor. I am also extremely detail-oriented and provide top-notch customer service during all phases of a project. How did you get started doing this type of work?
I graduated from the University of California Irvine with a degree in theater, and set out to build a career in Southern California on stage and on screen. One of my agents sent me on a voice over audition in the late 1980's and I had a natural knack for it. I began developing my studio contacts and going on more and more voice over auditions, while still doing a lot of stage plays and tv gigs. Eventually, by the late 1990's, I was making a very nice income from my voice over work and I decided to really ramp it up to a more full-time level, and do less stage and tv work. I love voice over because it is a way for me to use all of my acting training and talent on a daily basis and be paid very well for my time. That's something that pretty much every actor dreams of being able to do.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Seek out the full-time, experienced trained voice ACTORS who have the ability to interpret copy in many ways and can take direction and deliver the read you want. There are thousands of voice talents on the internet now who jumped into the business because someone told them they had a good voice and they should become a voice over talent. Or they think that it's easy money, which it is definitely not! It takes years of hard work and dedication to your craft to build a full-time six-figure business in voice over. And, in today's world, you have to be an excellent marketer as well, which can be challenging for artistic and creative types. I have hundreds of clients who hire me repeatedly for projects because they know I am reliable, fast and I give them exactly what they need. That is the type of talent you should look for, and then return to. That way, you won't have to search over and over again for new talent, since you'll have someone who is experienced and able to accomplish many different voiceover tasks.
