I hired Emily after realizing that after 10 years away from an office setting I had nothing to wear to my new job. She showed me the value of using just a few accessories, such as scarves, belts, and necklaces, which I had previously eschewed. She combined her eye for fashion and flattering clothes, taking my preferences into consideration, and helped guide me with her honest input and encouragement. She pushed me just enough outside of my comfort zone that I am proud and excited to show off my new wardrobe. She has a very positive energy and brings a fresh outlook, which was just what I needed to get the clothes necessary for embarking on my new career!

Question and answer
Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. Most commonly, its exactly what my title is. I'll meet with a new client, go to their home and examine what is in their closet. I'll have them try on outfits that they love or wear a lot. Then, we'll discuss what it is that they need and how we are going to get it for them. I'm not going to judge what you already have, I'm just going to expand on it with new, classic pieces that will work nicely with everything in your closet.
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. Important information about you should be:
- your favorite colors, especially one's that you think look good against your skin/hair
- your body type (including height and weight)
- what you want from my service
- what your lifestyle is like
- where you work
- what you love to do/what makes you happy
All of this information is what I plan on finding out when we meet, not in an e-mail or over the phone. We will meet once before I start shopping/styling to discuss you and what you expect from me!
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. I am a recent Apparel Merchandising graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Applied Arts. I chose to study the art of apparel because I live, breathe and believe in fashion. I believe that everyone has the right to dress with confidence, to feel beautiful and elegant. Clothing can transform a person and I believe I have the a special gift, a gift that helps people see themselves in clothing that changes their impression of themselves and what other people see. I believe my work is fresh and creative, without going over-the-top. I am so excited to meet you, see what you already own, what you love and what you're looking for.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. I love when I find something that makes me feel beautiful, confident and puts a smile on my face. When I feel confident in what I'm wearing, other people notice and it feels good to be admired and feel beautiful. I want to show you how good it feels to dress in clothing that makes you feel important, amazing and on-top of your world. The most amazing part about my job is when I find clothing and put outfits together that make my clients shine. I believe that we will make a great team and that we can transform your wardrobe and how you feel about yourself!
Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?
A. A commonly asked question is "how do I know what looks good?" My answer is that you have to be willing to try on several colors, silhouettes, and textures before you find what looks best on you. It takes a little bit of time, but we are going to find exactly what look fits you.
Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?
A. Be bold, persistent and yourself. If you can't be outgoing and approachable, then you won't ever launch yourself. You, also, cannot give up if things don't work out the first time. If you want it bad enough, you'll work extra hard to succeed. And, finally, you have to be comfortable with yourself and what you look good. You have to know how to style yourself before you can ever style anyone else.
