Question and answer

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Make sure that the mechanics are certified and have at least 3 years experience in automotive repair. That the business license is up to date.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. That you need to understand the basic mechanics of your car. That most people do not keep up with their maintenance on their car causing the repair bill to go hire than normal. That most shops pay their employees on commission which means the more they sell you the more they make.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Do I really need the work done and if so can you show me what you are talking about. How long have you been doing this kind of work. Does it come with a warranty and if so how long is it and what does it cover. The parts that you are installing are the original equipment or are they parts from a junkyard.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. How many years have you been doing this kind of work and are certified by the state of Michigan to perform this kind of work.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. That everyday there is something different to do. What I mean is one day you could be doing brakes on a car the next day you could be tracking down an electrical problem. Every day is a different challenge.
