FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Starting out, our hosts go through rigourous classroom and on-the-job training. They start out with classroom training, then take a series of written and performance exams. IF they pass, they can move on to working on-the-job with working hosts, as a Music Mixer, as well as continuing classroom training. After another round of written and performance exams, they can now work as Party Hosts for things such as Birthday Parties, Anniversaries, School Dances, etc. but, they still continue training. Both classroom and on-the-job. After another round of exams, IF they pass, they can now start to host things such as Weddings and Corporate Events. This process takes close to a year and even then, they will have a vetran Host going out as "their" Music Mixer on shows for the next six months, working as their Mentor and back-up. Then, we have monthly, continuing training classes for "ALL" hosts, so that they can learn new music, new dances, (i.e. The wobble, etc.) party formats, improvisation, acting techniques, new technology and much more. that way, we can ensure that our Hosts are the best in the business and the best possible choice for people's events.

- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure that any company you go to has truly trained their hosts. Meet them and pick whom you feel most comfortable with. Don't let anyone just send out an unknown host to your reception. This is the biggest night in your life and you deserve to have someone who clicks with you, will take the time to understand who you two are (personality-wise) and what you like and is going to customize all of those details you need for your night. Make sure that the company has back-up at all times, so if there is a problem of any sort, they can and will have it covered. Understand that whomever you look at for DJ service, when they push play on "Love Shack" it's going to sound the same from company to company. The song is the song. That's just a fact. But know that it all boils down to the host. You can have the same guests, sit in the same seats, in the same hall and listen to the same songs played in the same order on the same sound system and still have two ENTIRELY different parties, just based off of how it's hosted. Choosing the right personality can make or break your event. Make sure that the company you choose will be able to give you as much time and attention as you need to make your event what you want it to be. If you need to sit down with them and go through music for three hours, in order to find your special songs, then they should be able to accommodate you. If you need them to visit the hall with you, they should be able to do so. This is the most important night in your life and any company you go with, should care about it just as much, if nore than you do.
