Wedding & Event Photography

Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.

A. Wedding Photography ~ I am passionate about weddings and love to tell the bride and groom's story through photos. I use a blended style of traditional posed photos as well as modern photo techniques when producing wedding images. I pride myself on creating a fun experience for my wedding couple, their family, and friends!

Event Photography ~ I enjoy working with groups or organizations to capture the energy, atmosphere, and the guests. I work hand in hand with the event organizers to be sure all of their photography needs are met.

Mike Darga Photography does not create client lists - I create friendships!

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. First, meet with your photographer and get to know their personality. You have to "click" as a team. If you are having fun, laughing, and sharing stories you will be able to really enjoy your event because you trust in your photographer. If you walk out feeling like a "client" than you are. Keep looking!

Second, there are a lot of photographers who show you their favorite photos. We all do! But, I give you access to other clients galleries so you can see a full event with unedited photos. This will give you a real sense of my style as a photographer.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. Do you have Liability Insurance? YES ~ Mike Darga Photography is fully insured.

Are you registered as a legitimate business? YES ~ Mike Darga Photography is registered as an Limited Liablity Company (LLC) through the state of Michigan.

Are you a member of any professional organizations? YES ~ Mike Darga Photography is a proud member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA)

Are you the "actual" photographer that we will have at our wedding celebration or will you send a "contracted photographer" to cover our event? Mike Darga will always be the primary photographer for all events! Depending on the wedding package chosen, I may bring an associate photographer to assist.

Can we see actual galleries of your past weddings? YES ~ Anyone can show you their best work. A select set of images hand picked by the photographer. Mike Darga Photography will give you access to client galleries that will allow you to see an entire event from start to finish!

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. My goal is to "focus" on the client. To me, it's about building a professional relationship that will grow year after year for generations.

My work stands out from others because I'm passionate about people, I have fun and I'm excited about the event. Because I love what I do, it's expressed through my images.

I take great pride in creating a fun atmosphere with my bride & groom during their wedding celebration.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. I think I have the best job in the world! I consider myself extremely lucky to meet such interesting people on a daily basis. I am allowed into people's lives and asked to capture their emotion and commemorate these special moments.

Photography has allowed me to look at the world and the people in it in a whole new perspective. I've been exposed to new traditions, new destinations, and many new friends.
