It's been great learning all the things I need to know about riding and taking care of my horse. And I'm still learning. I've also started my granddaughter on riding lesson. She's doing great with Julie's guidance and patience. She's a great teacher, I would and do recommend her to everyone.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I work with a riding instructor so that I can continue learning new skills. We also raise and show horses so we are constantly learning new things. I subscribe to several equine publications in an effort to stay current with the latest trends in the business.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been passionate about horses since I was about 9yrs old. It was actually one of our instructors/trainers that encouraged me to start giving lessons to beginning and intermediate riders. I started a few years ago and have really enjoyed helping kids and adults learn to ride.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Two of my younger students recently graduated from riding on the longe- line to riding independently. They were super excited and I was super proud of them!
