FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a B.S. in Mathematics degree from The University of Arizona and a M.A. in Mathematics Education degree from Western Governors University. In addition to my formal education in mathematics, I have recently completed an online software development boot camp program from The Tech Academy located in Portland, OR. I would be glad to help students who need help with computer programming.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I was in my sophomore year of college, I had recently completed my first three college level math classes of calculus 1, calculus 2, and calculus 3. I was interested in becoming a math tutor at my local community college in Tucson, AZ. After working there for a few months and helping many students of various skill levels, I possessed a natural flair for explaining math in a way that anybody could understand. At that instant, I knew my calling was to become a math tutor and teacher after graduating college.
