I love a good project. I like digging deep into my creative mind and thinking up ways to make a task unique and impactful. I try to put a different twist on things to help my clients set themselves apart "from the pack."
I tend to write in a very fresh and conversational way to engage my readers and keep them hooked. I also try to incorporate a little humor into everything I do because "people rarely remember a sales pitch, but they pretty much always remember a story."
I have 4 years of blogging experience and two successful blogs. I am very familiar (and use) Social Media like Facebook, Twitter, and Linked-IN. I have done reviews, contests, interviews, and articles of interest.
I also have a background of 30 years in retail sales and am an active volunteer in my community. I am naturally curious and love a good research project. On top of that, I have quite of bit of Marketing experience with event creativity being a strong suit of mine.
Please feel free to stop by either of my blogs and enjoy the "quirk" that IS my writing style.
I look forward to working with you!
Question and answer
Q. Describe the most common types of jobs you do for your clients.
A. My most common jobs would be writing blog posts and informative magazine articles.
Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. I work fast, love research, and give more than expected. Offer up as much info and details for me as you can and watch me SOAR.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. Blogging is not just for moms anymore. It's an effective tool for engagement with your customers, spreading your brand, and humanizing your business. Readers have "goldfish attention spans" these days so posts need to be to-the-point, useful, and content rich.
Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?
A. Do you have samples of your work? Who are some of your past or current clients.
Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?
A. Who their target market is and where they might be "hanging." The rule of thumb is to go where your prospective client is whether that's Linked-in, Facebook, blogs, or magazines.
Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?
A. Again, I think I have a unique writing "voice." I would rather engage readers with a conversational dialogue(as if they were talking to their best friend) than throw slabs of dry marketing facts at them. Readers have "goldfish attention spans" these days meaning: you only have seconds to connect with them, gain their interest , and keep them reading.
Q. What do you like most about your job?
A. Someone once told me "time flies when you are having fun..." well I am definately having a blast when I do writing projects because time absolutley flies.
Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?
A. I am a chameleon. I can be professional and diplomatic when I write, or I can be conversational and engaging. I change my writing "voice" to suit the needs of the client.
Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?
A. I really wanted to help people with my thoughts and creativity and found out very quickly there was limited work for me on a local level. I love the thought of being a freelancer and virtual assistant and working with people and companies nationwide.
Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?
A. I am always taking classes, courses, reading books, and attending conferences. I have this incredible appetite for more information, especially on blogging and social media. Both topics fastinate me and always make me want to learn more.
