Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?
A. Be upfront with your contractor. If you are not ready to buy, let them know where you are at in the decision-making phase. If you are being given "free consulation", know that it is not free for them...when they present a bid, have the courtesy to follow-up with them, even if you didn't choose them.
Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. The greatest advise involves testimony from past clients. I would want to know how payment is arranged and I would like to know about their process.
