    As a do it yourselfer it pains me to hire somebody to do work for me. However, I know my limits. I know when it's time to call a professional. That's why I call RB's. Randy, Todd and the rest of the staff have always been prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. It's nice to be able to pick up the phone and tell Randy "Here's what I need..." and it's done, no price shopping necessary. I don't hesitate to refer them and I don't hesitate to call them myself-thanks Randy.

A. Check with the Better Business Bureau for business ratings. Ask friends and relatives for recommendations. Good referrals are key to a business' success and reputable companies have clients more than willing to give testimonials if that helps with the decision making process.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. How do I know if my computer is infected with a virus? The answer often can be determined by doing online scans through reputable sites such as www.eset.com

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. How long have you been in business under this name? Ask for local testimonial letters or organizations that the business belongs to. Ask what the anticipated time to repair the computer will be.
