- What types of customers have you worked with?
Website design, maintenance and social media is 80% of our business. Most of our customers we design their site from scratch, however we do take over the maintenance of sites that have been built by other designers or design firms. Every day we set aside a chunk of time to make changes for our clients, we typically will make most changes within 24-48 hours from the time we get the request to make a change. If it is a larger change, we will commit to a time frame to have the project completed. The other 20% is business branding using other traditional forms of advertising. Logo design and re-branding is an area we have particular interest in.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We are usually proud of all of the projects we create, however one of our recent projects was for a professional fishing guide who was looking to have a website built for his new business venture. He gave us complete creative freedom and provided us with very beautiful imagery and was a pleasure to work with. - What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Beware of high pressure sales to make a decision quickly-such as a promotional price. Look at their portfolio, and make sure that the portfolio matches the references. Make sure that the portfolio piece is a live and functioning websites, something that is no longer online typically means that it wasn't functional or is old and outdated. Look at work that was done within the last 60 days versus things that were done 1 or 2 years ago...Check their references by calling them-ask if they would hire them again, ask about the timeliness of getting things done. Ask how long they have worked with them.
