Introduction: I first started playing music for people in the Twin Cities back in 1994 where I was getting paid to entertain 100s of people at a time! I went by the name DJ Mikey Y. Around the end of the decade, I was off to Nebraska to perform on the radio before coming back to Minnesota for the new millennium. In 2009, my best friend asked me to DJ his wedding, which I gladly accepted. It was a great experience and they were very impressed with the results - I was hooked! At that point, I decided I want to be the best and would strive to get there. I started attending conventions and workshops each year to not only see the newest technology and upcoming trends, but also how to provide the greatest experience for my clients! Weddings start at $2,000.

I attended a wedding that Mike was DJing at and it was great! He not only played the latest and greatest music, but he was also an entertainer and kept the wedding running smoothly! He played fun games with the newly weds, fun games with the wedding guests and had everyone out on the dance floor by the end of the night!

My wife and I had an excellent wedding and it was largely in part to DJ Mikey Y. Not only were his services affordable, they also shattered our expectations for what an MC should be. He did a great job at catering the entire day to our needs based off the questionnaire he had us complete. The energy levels were always high and our guests were blown away by his professionalism. 10/10 would use My Gala Productions again.

What didn’t we like about working with Mike?! He was awesome. We hired Mike to DJ for our son’s graduation party. He has Autism, so there were some very specific requests. Everything went very smoothly, and was exactly what we wanted. We would highly recommend Mike to anyone looking for a good DJ :)

I try to avoid fees, when I provide a price, I like to keep it a flat rate. I also offer a referral bonus.

I prefer to meet in person to go over the details. This allows both of us to understand what we need better and to ensure that we are a good match for your event.

I have Bachelors degree in communications with an Associates degree in Radio and Television Broadcasting.
