Introduction: I have taught piano for over 25 years, and I enjoy seeing a student go from knowing nothing about playing the piano to being as advanced as they want to be. I believe in using encouragement as a motivator along with much patience. As long as a student is really trying to do his best, mistakes do not bother me. I just help the students work through their mistakes, and try to help them learn through them. I teach students from age 5 and up. I do not take students younger than 5; at this age, students must have someone at home who can sit with them, and help them with their practicing. All beginning students must be able to write and say the alphabet and their numbers 1-10. I charge $18 per 1/2-hour lesson given weekly. The lessons are paid for by the month at the first lesson of the month.
