FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Photo shoots start at $375 and are typically 45 minutes to an hour long. You'll receive the entire hand-edited gallery (minimum of 50 images), which you can view and download from a private online gallery.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After you inquire, I'll send you an email with a questionnaire to get to know you and your desires for your photo shoot. After you complete the questionnaire, we'll discuss a date, time, and location for your photo shoot. Once we have a date and time, I'll send a contract for you to review, sign, and pay the retainer fee ($150 or half of the session fee). All clients are expected to pay the retainer upon receiving the invoice. The rest of the fee is due one week before your photo shoot. We will meet at your chosen location on your photo shoot day, and I will make the magic happen. After the photo shoot is all said and done, I will go home and upload your beautiful memories onto my computer and hard drive. I'll cull the images down to 50+ photos, eliminating duplicates, out-of-focus shots, or ones where someone's eyes are closed. I will hand-edit each image and add a few black-and-white versions. Once I finish editing, I'll upload your photos to a private online gallery, and then I'll send you an email with the gallery link, where you can download and share the high-resolution images for free! There's also an online print store attached to your gallery, which offers high-quality pints (big, small, matted, and framed), canvas prints, albums, calendars, and so much more! The print store works with high-quality printing companies, so your images look fantastic in your home! I've ordered my photos from the print store and can't imagine printing them elsewhere.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied photography at Minnesota State University - Mankato. I took a film photography class where we used black and white and Holga cameras. We learned to develop the images in a dark room and how to correct the black-and-white tones. I also took various digital photography classes, where I learned how to use Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. Also, in the digital photography class, I learned how to shoot in Manual and understand ISO, shutter speed, and aperture.
