Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. As with any provider you are trusting with your care, always check to make sure they have proper education and credentials to provide the service they are advertising. Ask to see their medical license to practice, and any other certifications needed to perform specialized services.
I am a licensed acupuncturist in MN with a Master's degree in Oriental Medicine, and specialized certifications in Mei Zen Cosmetic Acupuncture (facial and abdominal), and Esogetic Colorpuncture, including Cosmetic Colorpuncture. I am NCCAOM board certified, which means I have passed National exams in order to obtain my license from the Medical Board.

Q. How did you decide to get in your line of work?

A. "Physician, Heal Thyself". Many people get into alternative healing because they sought services for themselves, first. In experiencing the great results I received myself 35 years ago (I had a neck whiplash injury due to a car accident when I was six months pregnant), it was a no-brainer for me to enter the field. I first became a massage therapist, and took weekend workshops in a variety of modalities, simply to learn more about the fascinating field of energy and vibrational healing.

I became an acupuncturist because of its' healing capabilities. I included Esogetic Colorpuncture because healing can happen at a much faster rate (speed of light), but enters into the Soul level, as well.

A local newspaper in my area reported that many women are taking additional steps to improve their looks and health to help them gain employment - or to stand out in an interview. The theory being that there can be many people vying for the same job. Those who look healthier and stressfree, and who took the extra step to go the extra mile, may be able to improve their chances of landing a higher paying position.

Q. Do you do any sort of continuing education to stay up on the latest developments in your field?

A. As a licensed acupuncturist, I had to pass stringent exams given by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in order to get my license from the MN Board of Medical Practice. In order to keep that license, I must satisfy a minimum of 60 hours of continuing education every four years to stay certified with the NCCAOM. Typically, I exceed that amount. I am continually seeking knowledge in my field, or like fields.

Medical doctors and chiropractors are not required to do this to use acupuncture as an adjunct therapy in their practice, but they are also not called licensed acupuncturists, and can't make claims to help heal you of your issue, other than for pain. They have limited knowledge in helping you with your problem. Most licensed acupuncturists' initial schooling can run into thousands of hours of training vs a few hundred hours that medical persons take. Check credentials.

A. TELL ME MORE ABOUT FACIAL REJUVENATION THROUGH COSMETIC ACUPUNCTURE AND COLORPUNCTURE. WHY DO I WANT IT?

The short answer is, most people want to look and feel their best.
